STOCK_WEB uses as few cookies as the product allows. This page lists everything the site stores in your browser and why.

Strictly necessary

• Admin session cookie — set only when a staff member signs in to the editorial admin. It never applies to readers.

Local storage (not cookies)

• Notification preferences — your alert settings on the Settings page are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.

Analytics and advertising

Analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (Google AdSense) are currently disabled. If they are enabled in the future, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated first, the scripts will load only under that updated policy, and any consent requirements that apply in your region will be respected. When disabled, the site makes zero requests to those services.

What we avoid

• No third-party tracking cookies today.
• No fingerprinting.
• No sale of personal data — we do not collect enough personal data to sell.
• Community Pulse votes are stored as salted hashes; raw IP addresses are never stored.
